Schedule your consultation today to learn whether a micropeel can help you achieve your best skin.
The Best Of Both Worlds
Typically, a micropeel treatment uses a combination of chemical exfoliants and physical abrasion to resurface the skin. The whole procedure will take approximately 30 to 60 minutes. These steps carefully and precisely remove the top layer of dead or damaged skin cells. This improves skin texture and enhances the skin's overall appearance, making it look healthier, clearer, and younger.
Chemical peels are recommended for exfoliation of the outermost surface of the skin. Peels improve many skin problems, such as acne and sun damage. Chemical peels also stimulate collagen production, thereby reducing aging and sagging of the skin. We have the following peels to choose from. Let our aestheticians help you choose which peel is best for you:
Sensei Peel: Sensei peel is formulated as a unique peeling option for all patients including those with highly sensitive skin. This will help to improve surface texture and brighten skin tone.
A series of 3 – 6 treatments are recommended for best results.
Three to four days before a peel, patients should stop using all topical retinoids (Retin-A, Differen [Adapalene 1%]) as well as any product containing retinol, AHA, BHA, or benzoyl peroxide. Patients with active cold sores, open wounds, facial warts, sunburn, or inflammatory rosacea should not have chemical peels. Peels are not recommended if you have taken Accutane within the past year, have received chemotherapy or radiation therapy, or are pregnant or lactating. Patients with vitiligo should avoid chemical peels. Please contact our office with any questions about chemical peels at Belladerma.
Mid-level peels penetrate into the deeper levels of the skin, making these peels more effective at reducing new lines and balancing skin pigmentation. Mid-level peels also stimulate collagen production, resulting in tighter skin with better tone.
Ultra Peel I: A TCA blend (20% lactic and 10% TCA) specially formulated to treat dehydrated and maturing skin. Also, known to help with acne, pigment disorders, and sun damaged skin.
PCA Peel with Hydroquinone: 14% Lactic, 14% Salicylic, and Citric Acid. Also, 3% Kojic Acid and 2% Hydroquinone. This blend of acids lightens hyperpigmentation and promotes an even skin tone. A perfect treatment for acne and hormone-induced breakouts and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.
Cosmelan® Peel: Unlike regular peels that only tackle surface issues, cosmelan goes deeper to address the root cause. It's a treatment that visibly reduces pigmentation spots and regulates the overproduction of pigmentation, stopping those spots from coming back. If you're dealing with skin spots that appear after battling acne, known as Post-inflammatory Hyperpigmentation or PIH, cosmelan can be the perfect solution.
Your Freshest Skin
Almost anyone can benefit from a chemical peel. The treatment—usually performed to the face, neck, hands, and other parts of the body—can dramatically improve the health and appearance of your skin. Chemical peels safely treat sun-damaged skin, acne, hyperpigmentation, rosacea, oily skin, wrinkles, fine lines around the eyes and mouth, mild scarring, age spots, freckles, and dark patches from pregnancy (melasma). Our program offers a wide range of chemical peel services, depending on your skin type.
Learn Your Options
Before you have a micropeel treatment, you will meet with one of our aesthetic specialists to discuss whether you’re a good candidate for this procedure. For example, a micropeel may not be recommended for people with darker skin tones or certain skin conditions. During your consultation, your specialist will assess your skin and discuss your goals and expectations in order to recommend the best treatment for your needs and skin type.

Bright And Shiny
At our practice in Toms River Chemical Peels results should be noticeable within a few days to a week after the treatment. The skin will appear brighter, smoother, and more even in tone. For optimal results, we recommend a series of treatments. They should ideally be scheduled about four to six weeks apart. Another approach is to alternate microdermabrasion and chemical peel sessions. Your Belladerma aesthetic specialist will help you decide on the best regimen for your skin type, goals, and schedule.
Minimal Downtime
After a treatment with chemical peels Toms River patients may feel their skin will be somewhat red and tender. In the days following the treatment, your skin may begin to flake or peel as the top layer of dead skin cells sloughs off. Your aesthetic specialist will give you all the information you need to care for your skin during this stage of healing. In general, we recommend avoiding sun exposure, using a gentle cleanser, and applying a moisturizer to soothe the skin. It’s also a good idea to wait a few days before using makeup or other skincare products.
Depending on the person, the amount of discomfort you feel during the treatment can vary. There may be a tingling or slight burning sensation, but most people find this chemical peel treatment very tolerable.
The required number of treatments depends on your skin goals and concerns. Ideally, you will see results after one or two treatments. But if you want to get rid of specific discoloration or acne, you may need follow-up treatments to target these particular concerns.
